Angelina’s Hot Chocolate Recipe

October 31, 2010 § Leave a comment

If you think you know Hot Chocolate, you don’t,unless you’ve been to Paris and had the Hot Chocolate from Angelina. If you haven’t, then you’re in luck! Unfortunately, if you don’t live in Europe you can’t buy the prepackaged delight that Angelina sells. Their Hot Chocolate is world famous and I have the recipe! If you have the guts, get the ingredients and follow the steps bellow. And next time you travel across the Atlantic to Paris, Angelina is the place to visit. You won’t regret it.

Hot Chocolate Recipe

Combine 3/4 cup Whole Milk, 1/4 cup Heavy Cream and 1 tablespoon Confectioners’ Sugar and heat over medium-high until bubbles appear around edges. Remove from heat and add 4 oz Omanhene  Bittersweet Chocolate (72%) that’s been chopped. Stir until melted (you may need to return to low heat). Serve with whipped cream.

Peace in the Canyon

My favorite Restaurant in Los Angeles right now is a cozy hideaway in Laurel Canyon called  Pace. An indoor/outdoor restaurant with an intimate but also family friendly atmosphere with crayons on each table for those who like drawing. Pace promises the best of an Organic Italian cuisine. Every time I go, I try to get something new but always retreat to the Aphrodite Pie which is a pizza with basil pesto, thinly sliced potatoes, chopped green beans and fresh mozzarella. Delicious! If you haven’t already been, this should be your next stop. Also, the chocolate souffle is to die for but you must remember to order it once you sit down because it takes at least a half an hour to cook its way to perfection.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist

I’ve been using Jurlique skin care products for the past 20 years and this is one product I can’t live without.  Their products are all natural, no chemicals and are great for sensitive skin types. Just a quick spritz twice a day is a must! There’s no better way to refresh your face than with a little Rosewater.  Or you can try their Chamomile Soothing Mist which is just as fabulous.
